About

I’m an advocate for quality, affordable continuing education and formation work for clergy and lay people in the areas of preaching and worship. Through books, courses and consulting I aim to offer support and inspiration to preachers and worship leaders. I ask tough questions about pressing issues in ministry, seeking insight in conversation with a variety of others.

Rooted in the reformed, Presbyterian tradition, I am an ordained minister with a ThD in homiletics. I have served various churches within the Presbyterian Church in Canada, and taught worship and preaching for over 10 years at Knox College, at the Toronto School of Theology, University of Toronto. I currently serve as Associate Professor: Ewart Chair in the Practice of Ministry and Faith Formation at Knox College.
